Your brand is being discussed, recommended, or ignored inside AI-generated search results right now – and your analytics dashboard has no idea it’s happening.

AI answers are now a place where buyers research vendors. G2’s 2026 AI Search Insight Report (March 2026, 1,076 B2B decision-makers in North America, EMEA and APAC) found that 51% of B2B software buyers start their research in an AI chatbot more often than in Google, and that 69% chose a different vendor than they had planned because of what an AI chatbot told them. A brand can be cited, compared, or left out by an AI engine without producing a single measurable visit in your web analytics, which is why a dedicated monitoring tool is worth a look.

This guide ranks seven enterprise AI visibility monitoring platforms against six criteria that determine whether a tool delivers value: whether you can check the numbers, how answers are collected, how prompt sets are built, engine coverage and pricing, sentiment depth, and enterprise readiness. It explicitly excludes AI/ML observability tools (Arize, LangSmith, Datadog) – those monitor internal model performance, not brand presence in AI-generated search results.

Full disclosure: This guide is published by ziptie.ai, which ranks itself #1 below. We applied the same criteria to ourselves and to every competitor, state our own gaps in our own entry, and take every competitor fact from a dated vendor page or independent source listed under Sources at the end. A fact we could not trace to such a source is left out. We encourage you to verify every claim independently using the evaluation questions in this guide.

Last verified: October 2026. We checked the prices, plans, engines, ownership and funding of the tools in this guide against each vendor’s published pages and independent coverage in October 2026. Vendors change these details often, so confirm current terms on each vendor’s site before you buy.

1. ziptie.ai – Best Overall for Checkable Numbers, Equal Engine Pricing and Agency Economics

Overview

ziptie.ai monitors how brands appear in AI answers. Its roster is seven AI surfaces: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI Overview and Google Gemini. Availability depends on the country a project targets, and each workspace chooses which engines run. It ranks first in this guide for five reasons, each with its qualifier, and its limits are stated in this same entry.

For each check, ziptie.ai sends the prompt to the engine with the project’s country and records the public answer and its citations as a logged-out baseline. It stores the full answer text and the cited sources with every check, so every number opens the answers behind it. AI answers vary from run to run, so a result you obtain by hand will not always match a stored check.

Key Features

  • Seven-engine roster: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI Overview and Google Gemini. Availability depends on country, and each workspace chooses which engines run
  • Four headline metrics – Citations Rate, Mentions Rate, Sentiment Score and AI Success Score (sentiment weighted by the mention rate) – plus share of voice counted inside your own prompt set
  • Prompt sets built from a guided onboarding interview with live web research; you review and edit every prompt before it is saved, and an AI suggestion backlog keeps topping up candidates
  • Google and Bing top-10 organic positions captured with Google AI Overviews and Bing AI Overview checks, plus a read-only Search Console connection (one property per project)
  • Competitors discovered from the answers themselves, with the domains and URLs the engines cite ranked and traced to the prompts that produced them
  • An Action Center with a ranked queue of open items per project, each deep-linked to the screen where the work happens. It explains and links; it never drafts the fix or changes your site. An optional paid Content add-on produces briefs and drafts
  • Daily, weekly or monthly checks, set per project
  • A white-label AI Search Visibility Report PDF on every plan, plus CSV and XLSX exports

Best For

Agencies and in-house teams that want numbers they can check, one per-check rule for every engine, and Google and Bing organic positions next to AI answers – and that can work within the limits listed below.

Why It Ranks First

  • Every engine priced alike, with no add-on engines. Seven AI surfaces are on the roster and availability depends on country. Price follows how many engines run, not which ones, and the rate scales with how often a prompt is checked. Add-ons exist for other features (UGC Impact, Content, API access), not for engines. Confirm current rates on the ziptie.ai pricing page before you buy.
  • Numbers a buyer can check. Every AI visibility number opens the answers behind it. A failed check is never a zero: it is left out of rates and counted beside them. ziptie.ai reports no rank or position inside an AI answer, by design. The caveat: brand and sentiment detection is model-based, and we publish no accuracy figure for it.
  • AI answers beside Google and Bing organic positions. Top-10 organic positions are captured with the Google AI Overviews and Bing AI Overview engines, so a workspace without those two engines has no organic data. A read-only Search Console connection adds clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, with a 30-day backfill when you connect.
  • Agency economics. Unlimited seats, projects and competitors, and a white-label client report on every plan at no extra charge. The report PDF carries no ziptie.ai text; the shared report link keeps the ziptie.ai mark, lives on ziptie.ai and expires after 14 days, and there is no custom share domain.
  • A public methodology. How engines and countries are handled, how prompt sets are built, how each number is defined and how failed checks are treated are written down on the ziptie.ai methodology page.

Limitations

ziptie.ai does not monitor Claude, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek, so teams that need those engines need another tool for them. It has no traffic attribution and no GA4 or other web-analytics connector, no AI crawler analytics, and no content-gap analysis: its Content add-on is driven by topic trends in the sources the engines cite, not by gaps against competitors. It does not have a SOC 2 report and is not HIPAA compliant; where a SOC 2 report is a hard procurement gate, see the Profound entry. Each prompt is captured once per engine per cycle, so a stored check is one sample of an answer that varies from run to run. Checks run on the project’s daily, weekly or monthly cadence, and there is no on-demand check. Targeting is by country, one per project, with no city or region targeting. We do not cite review-site scores for ziptie.ai.

Verdict

ziptie.ai ranks first here because of the five reasons above, which matter most to teams that need numbers they can check, one per-check rule for every engine and agency economics. It is not the right fit if you need Claude coverage, traffic attribution, crawler analytics, content-gap analysis or a SOC 2 report. A trial is available without a sales call: 7 days, no card required, with 25 daily prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot.

2. Profound – Best for Enterprise Compliance and Board-Ready Reporting

Overview

Profound (Cooper Square Technologies, New York) was founded in August 2024. On 2026-09-15 it announced a $180 million Series D at a $1.8 billion valuation, following a $96 million Series C in February 2026 (reported by Fortune on 2026-02-24); the rounds it has announced add up to roughly $335 million. In the Series D release Profound says it serves over 1,000 enterprise brands and names Walmart, Figma and Ramp among its customers. These are the company’s own statements.

On the pricing page we read on 2026-10-22, the Enterprise plan covers up to nine answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. The page does not list Grok, Meta AI or Bing AI Overview. Profound’s suite includes Answer Engine Insights; Prompt Volumes (formerly Conversation Explorer), which Profound describes as built from licensed consumer-panel conversations and says covers over 2 billion real user prompts in 35 countries; Agent Analytics, which reads AI crawler activity from server logs forwarded by your CDN or host; and an AI Marketer layer for acting on results. Profound lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and SSO (SAML or OIDC), and its changelog shows SCIM provisioning shipped on 2026-08-21.

Key Features

  • Up to nine answer engines on Enterprise (Profound pricing page, read 2026-10-22), including Claude and DeepSeek
  • SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and SSO with SCIM provisioning (vendor pages and changelog, to October 2026)
  • Prompt Volumes, formerly Conversation Explorer, built from licensed consumer-panel conversations (Profound’s description)
  • Agent Analytics: AI crawler activity read from server logs forwarded from your CDN or host, included free on the Trial
  • Each prompt checked once a day per engine (Profound documentation)

Best For

Fortune 500 companies and enterprises in regulated industries – pharma, finance, legal, healthcare – that require compliance certifications as procurement gates and need a wide AI engine list alongside executive reporting for board-level visibility strategy discussions.

Strengths

  • A wide engine list: up to nine answer engines on Enterprise, including Claude and DeepSeek
  • A published compliance set (SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, SSO with SCIM) that a regulated procurement review can check against
  • Well funded, with named enterprise customers (company announcements, 2026-09-15); funding is a vendor-stability signal, not a measure of product fit

Limitations

Profound publishes no Enterprise price. The pricing page read on 2026-10-22 lists a free 7-day Trial (50 prompts run daily, three engines) and a custom Enterprise plan, so budgeting means a sales conversation. The page does not list Bing AI Overview, Grok or Meta AI. As of October 2026 we did not find an independent accuracy test of Profound, or of most vendors in this guide, so ask each vendor for its collection method per engine and check a sample of answers by hand.

Verdict

Profound is a strong choice for enterprises where compliance certifications are a procurement gate, where a wide engine list is a hard requirement, and where executive reporting is the primary use case. Pricing is by quote, so compare it on a quote rather than a sticker price.

Overview

BrightEdge is an established enterprise SEO platform whose AI product is AI Catalyst. According to BrightEdge’s AI Catalyst page (read 2026-10-21), it tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini, plus other AI platforms the page does not name. Gartner’s Market Guide for Answer Engine Visibility Tools (2026-03-09) lists BrightEdge as a Representative Vendor.

BrightEdge does not publish pricing for AI Catalyst, so cost, engine set and prompt limits come from a sales conversation. Figures circulated elsewhere about its client base, data assets and research are BrightEdge’s own claims that we have not verified, so this guide does not repeat them.

Key Features

  • AI Catalyst tracking of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini, plus platforms the vendor does not name (BrightEdge page, 2026-10-21)
  • AI visibility inside an existing enterprise SEO platform, so AI and traditional search work sit with one vendor
  • Named a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s 2026-03-09 Market Guide for Answer Engine Visibility Tools

Best For

Large enterprise SEO teams already operating within the BrightEdge ecosystem who want to extend existing analytics into AI search without adopting a separate point solution.

Strengths

  • Extends an existing BrightEdge deployment into AI search without a second vendor or procurement process
  • Five named engines, including Google AI Mode and Gemini
  • Listed as a Representative Vendor by Gartner (independent), 2026-03-09

Limitations

BrightEdge does not publish pricing, which limits procurement transparency until you have a quote. The AI Catalyst page names five engines and leaves the rest unnamed, so ask which engines and how many prompts your contract includes. AI Catalyst sits inside a broader enterprise SEO platform, which suits teams that already use it more than teams that want a standalone monitoring tool.

Verdict

BrightEdge is the natural extension for enterprises already invested in its SEO platform. Organizations that want a standalone AI visibility tool with published pricing may prefer one of the other tools in this guide.

4. Peec AI – Best for EU-Based Teams That Want Published Pricing and Daily Tracking

Overview

Peec AI is a Berlin-based company founded in January 2025. It says it serves 3,500+ brands and agencies and has passed $15 million in annual recurring revenue (company claims, September and October 2026), and it says it has raised $40 million (press release, 2026-09-17). Peec offers a data processing agreement and has an EU-based team.

On brand plans Peec tracks three engines chosen from six: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. Extra engines are monthly add-ons ($35 on Starter, $85 on Pro, $165 on Advanced, per Peec’s pricing information), and Claude and several other models are upgrade or Enterprise options, some collected through APIs (Peec, July 2026). Its human-in-the-loop competitor workflow lets the platform suggest brands that appear alongside yours while you accept or decline them. On 2026-10-13 Peec shipped Actions (a ranked list of opportunities), a content optimizer that drafts rewrites of existing pages, and an Agent; its changelog also lists GA4 AI referrals (2026-09-11) and Crawl Insights, which reads CDN or host logs.

Key Features

  • Brand plans with three engines chosen from six, daily tracking and unlimited users (Peec pricing information, confirmed live 2026-07-10)
  • Actions, a content optimizer and an Agent (Peec changelog, 2026-10-13)
  • GA4 AI referrals and Crawl Insights (Peec changelog, from 2026-09-11)
  • Human-in-the-loop competitor suggestions that users accept or decline
  • Browser automation for its core engines, as Peec describes it

Best For

EU-headquartered teams and organizations with EU data processing requirements that want published pricing, daily tracking and an action layer. Check any SOC 2 or SSO requirement against the limits below.

Strengths

  • Published pricing: Starter $95 a month (50 prompts), Pro $245 (150) and Advanced $495 (350), each with three engines, daily tracking and unlimited users, about 15% off with annual billing, and a custom Enterprise plan (Peec, July 2026; re-read by independent publisher Xtrusio on 2026-10-10)
  • A Berlin-based vendor with a DPA and an EU-based team (Peec)
  • An action layer (Actions, content optimizer, Agent) plus GA4 AI referrals and crawler analytics, which ziptie.ai does not offer

Limitations

Peec states that it is pursuing SOC 2 and is not yet certified. Its SSO is SAML 2.0 only, with no OIDC or SCIM, and API access is Enterprise-only (Peec docs). Brand plans cover three engines, and extra engines or Claude cost more. Check the engine list when you sign up: an independent price review (Xtrusio, 2026-10-10) lists Perplexity as an extra model, which differs from Peec’s own six-engine list.

Verdict

Peec AI is a strong fit for EU-based teams that want published pricing, daily tracking and an action layer from a Berlin-based vendor. Teams that need a SOC 2 report, OIDC or SCIM should confirm the current position with Peec before buying.

5. Otterly.AI – Best for Agencies and Multi-Client Monitoring

Overview

Otterly.AI is an Austrian company that Gartner lists as a Representative Vendor in its 2026-03-09 Market Guide. Its plans include four engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Google AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons ($9, $59 or $149 a month each on Lite, Standard and Premium), and Claude is a paid add-on ($29, $109 or $439 a month) collected through the API. Otterly tracks every prompt once a day on all plans and offers no manual refresh (Otterly pricing page, fetched 2026-10-22; Otterly help page dated 2026-07-17).

Otterly’s plan cards say ‘Unlimited Countries & Languages’; an independent price tracker recorded that change on 2026-10-19, after earlier 2026 listings of 50+ and 60+ countries. Its Brand Visibility Index plots brand coverage against a likeliness-to-buy axis derived from average position. Otterly offers a Looker Studio connector from Standard and up, PDF reports with an optional logo, and an Agency Partner program (bonus prompts, pitch workspaces, custom branded Looker Studio reports). Its changelog also lists Recommendations (2026-04-16), Query Fan-Out (2026-06-25), a GEO Audit and Agent Analytics, which reads AI crawler and agent logs.

Key Features

  • Four engines in every plan (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot); Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude as paid add-ons
  • Daily tracking on every plan (Otterly help page, 2026-07-17)
  • Brand Visibility Index combining brand coverage with a likeliness-to-buy axis derived from average position
  • Looker Studio connector from Standard, PDF reports with an optional logo, and an Agency Partner program
  • Recommendations, GEO Audit, Query Fan-Out and Agent Analytics (Otterly changelog, 2026)

Best For

Marketing agencies managing multiple clients who want published pricing, a Looker Studio connector and an agency partner program, and teams that want a lower-cost entry point into monitoring.

Strengths

  • Published pricing: Lite $29 a month (15 prompts), Standard $189 (100), Premium $489 (400) and a custom Enterprise plan from 1,000 prompts, with about 15% off annually and unlimited team members (Otterly pricing page, 2026-10-22)
  • Reporting options for agencies: Looker Studio connector from Standard, PDF reports with an optional logo, and the Agency Partner program
  • Daily tracking on every plan, with Recommendations, GEO Audit, Query Fan-Out and Agent Analytics added during 2026

Limitations

Google AI Mode and Gemini cost extra on every plan, and Lite carries 15 prompts. Otterly does not document a fully white-labelled client portal or custom domain. Its compliance page (2026-06-18) lists no SOC 2 report, and SSO is Enterprise only. Its pricing page does not list Bing AI Overview.

Verdict

Otterly.AI is a good fit for agencies that want published prices and reporting connectors. Teams that need Google AI Mode or Gemini should price the add-ons, and teams that need a SOC 2 report should look at other tools in this guide.

6. Semrush – Best for Teams Already Using Semrush for Traditional SEO

Overview

Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush on 2026-04-28 (reported at about $1.9 billion, $12.00 a share in cash), and Semrush is no longer NYSE-listed. Adobe’s release says Semrush is used by over 28 million users, and Semrush’s customer FAQ says there are no immediate changes to services, agreements or billing. The AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month and includes one project, one Brand Performance domain and 25 tracked prompts. Each extra domain or location is $99, each extra user licence is $99 and 50 more prompts cost $60 a month, and the toolkit has no free trial (Semrush help page, fetched 2026-10-22). Semrush One plans, such as SEO + AI Search at $199 a month for 50 daily prompts and $299 for 100, raise the prompt allowance instead (Semrush prices page, 2026-10-22).

The toolkit tracks different engines in different reports (Semrush help page, read 2026-10-21). Daily Prompt Tracking covers Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and ChatGPT Search, and the weekly Brand Performance report covers Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Microsoft Copilot is not in the toolkit (Semrush Enterprise AIO added Copilot on 2025-12-01), and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are not listed. Semrush’s own data page says that no platform can provide exact numbers on visibility.

Key Features

  • AI Visibility Score and Prompt Research for choosing prompts
  • Daily Prompt Tracking and a weekly Brand Performance report, with AI-generated recommendations
  • Sentiment, tone and attributes listed in the help documentation
  • A pre-built database of over 317 million prompts and responses (Semrush help page)
  • Sold on its own at $99 a month or inside Semrush One plans

Best For

Marketing teams and SEO specialists who already use Semrush for traditional SEO and want to add AI visibility monitoring with little platform-switching cost – organizations that value workflow consolidation and incremental AI awareness over comprehensive AI monitoring depth.

Strengths

  • Little adoption friction for existing Semrush teams: no new vendor onboarding and one account for AI and organic search work
  • Published AI-visibility pricing for both the standalone toolkit ($99 a month) and the Semrush One tiers
  • Daily Prompt Tracking on Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and ChatGPT Search

Limitations

The toolkit’s engines differ between reports: Perplexity appears only in the weekly Brand Performance report, and Microsoft Copilot is not included. Cost rises with each user licence ($99), extra domain or location ($99) and extra block of prompts ($60 for 50), and the toolkit has no free trial. Semrush has been owned by Adobe since April 2026, so confirm how that affects agreements and billing for your contract.

Verdict

Semrush is the right add-on for teams already paying for Semrush who want AI visibility awareness alongside traditional SEO metrics. Enterprises that need Microsoft Copilot, Claude or deeper per-engine coverage should compare it with a dedicated tool in addition to or instead of this toolkit.

7. Evertune – Best for Enterprise Brands That Want Repeated Sampling of Each Prompt

Overview

Evertune is a New York company founded in 2024 that raised a $15 million Series A in August 2025 (GlobeNewswire, 2025-08-12). Its methodology page (read 2026-10-21) says it samples each prompt 100 times per model, using direct API access to isolate a model’s ‘foundational knowledge’ and fresh virtual-browser sessions for consumer apps. It cites EverPanel with ‘over 150 million real conversations’; treat that figure as Evertune’s own claim.

Evertune’s pricing page (fetched 2026-10-22) lists Starter at $60 a month (5,000 prompt credits, up to five models), Pro at $800 a month billed annually (100,000 credits, 11 models, 100 samples per prompt) and a custom Enterprise plan with SSO. The platform includes a Content Studio, and Gartner lists Evertune as a Representative Vendor (Market Guide, 2026-03-09).

Key Features

  • 100 samples per prompt per model on Pro (Evertune pricing page, 2026-10-22)
  • API access for a model’s ‘foundational knowledge’ plus fresh virtual-browser sessions for consumer apps (Evertune methodology page)
  • EverPanel consumer conversation data (Evertune’s own figure: over 150 million conversations)
  • Content Studio alongside monitoring data

Best For

Enterprise brands that want each prompt sampled many times and are willing to pay for a research-grade tier, particularly organizations that want a documented sampling method behind their AI visibility numbers.

Strengths

  • A published sampling method: 100 samples per prompt per model on Pro
  • Published pricing from $60 a month, with Pro at $800 a month billed annually
  • Content Studio alongside monitoring data, and a Gartner Representative Vendor listing (2026-03-09)

Limitations

Pro at $800 a month billed annually is a high entry point for the sampling tier, and Starter does not include the statistical-significance feature (Evertune pricing page, 2026-10-22). Panel and coverage figures are Evertune’s own, and we could not verify them independently.

Verdict

Evertune fills a specific enterprise need: repeated sampling of each prompt with a documented method. Teams that want a lower-cost entry point or a day-to-day monitoring workflow should compare it with the other tools in this guide.

Red Flags to Watch For

When evaluating AI visibility monitoring platforms, these warning signs suggest a provider may not deliver enterprise-grade results:

Undisclosed data collection. If a vendor cannot clearly explain how each engine’s answers are collected – from the consumer product in a browser, through an API, or a mix – ask directly. Vendors differ: Evertune describes using API access for one purpose and browser sessions for another, and Peec says some of its models are collected through APIs. A vendor that does not know or will not explain its collection method is not positioned to tell you how closely its data matches what your customers see.

No clear path from data to action. If a demo shows impressive dashboards but the answer to “what should we change?” is “consult your SEO team,” you’re buying a speedometer in a car with no steering wheel. Several vendors in this guide now ship action layers, so ask to see exactly what the output looks like and whether it drafts the fix or only points to it.

Opaque or add-on billing at enterprise query volumes. If each engine consumes its own check or credit, or some engines are paid add-ons, the economics change quickly when tracking hundreds of prompts across multiple brands and regions. Understand cost per prompt per engine before committing at scale.

Vanished competitors cited as category peers. The category is consolidating. HubSpot announced its acquisition of XFunnel in November 2025, Adobe completed its Semrush acquisition on 2026-04-28, Sitecore announced its acquisition of Scrunch on 2026-06-03, Tracksuit acquired Hall in July 2026, and the Lorelight tool shut down in October 2025. Ask vendors directly about funding runway, customer retention rates, and the longevity of named customers on their platform – not just logo counts.

Conflation with AI/ML observability. Some vendors market internal model monitoring tools designed for ML engineers tracking inference latency and hallucination rates in their own deployed models as “AI visibility monitoring.” If a platform discusses model drift detection and prompt injection rather than brand mentions and citation analysis, it is the wrong category for enterprise marketing teams.

Vague methodology for international results. AI engines return different citations and brand mentions depending on geography. A vendor that cannot explain how their platform handles regional variation, which country-level infrastructure they use for monitoring, and how results are normalized across markets is not equipped for enterprise global brand monitoring.

Questions to Ask When Evaluating AI Visibility Monitoring Platforms

Use these questions derived directly from the six ranking criteria in this guide when assessing any AI visibility monitoring platform, including tools not listed here:

  1. Does your platform provide specific content recommendations, or only visibility data? Look for vendors who can demonstrate exactly what the recommendation output looks like, and whether it drafts the fix or only points to it – not just claim the feature exists.
  1. How do you collect each engine’s answers, and can I open the answers behind a number? A vendor that cannot answer this clearly leaves you unable to judge how closely its data matches what your audience sees.
  1. How does your platform handle prompt-set building at enterprise scale – manual entry or assisted? Ask specifically how a team managing 500 prompts across five brands would operate the platform day-to-day.
  1. Which AI engines do you monitor, and what is the cost per prompt per engine? Check which engines are included and which are add-ons, and calculate total monthly cost at your actual prompt volume before comparing platform sticker prices.
  1. How does your sentiment analysis distinguish between a confident brand recommendation and a hedged comparison that actually favors a competitor? Request a live example of the sentiment output – not a screenshot from a demo account.
  1. What compliance certifications do you hold, and which specific regions do you cover with dedicated infrastructure? For regulated industries and global brands, the answer determines whether the platform can pass procurement review at all.
  1. What is your current funding or ownership status, and how many active customers have been on the platform for 12 or more months? Retention duration is a stronger signal of product satisfaction than customer count alone in a market where several vendors have been acquired or shut down since 2025.

The providers worth hiring will welcome these questions and answer them with specifics. Evasive or vague answers to questions 2 and 3 are the most common early warning signals in this category.

How We Ranked These Platforms

Traditional AI search tool evaluations focus on feature checklists and platform counts. Enterprise buyers – particularly those navigating formal procurement processes – need evaluation criteria that map to actual business outcomes. Here’s what we assessed and why each factor matters:

Verifiable Numbers– A visibility score is only useful if you can see what sits behind it. We evaluated whether each platform lets you open the answers behind a number, and how it treats checks that fail: left out and counted, or silently scored as zero.

Data Collection Methodology– Vendors collect AI answers in different ways: from the consumer product in a browser, through APIs, or a mix. We evaluated what each vendor says about its method per engine. We did not find an independent head-to-head accuracy test of these vendors as of October 2026, so this criterion rewards disclosure, not a measured accuracy score.

Prompt-Set Building and Scalability– Enterprise teams managing dozens of brands, product lines, and regional variations need large prompt sets. We evaluated whether each platform helps you build one (guided setup, prompt research, suggestions) or requires manual entry at scale.

Cross-Platform AI Engine Coverage and Pricing– AI search is not monolithic: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, and others surface different results and cite different sources. We evaluated both the breadth of engine coverage and how engines are priced, including which engines are add-ons, because coverage breadth without predictable cost at enterprise prompt volumes is not a practical solution.

Contextual Intelligence and Sentiment Depth– Being mentioned is not the same as being recommended. We evaluated whether each platform distinguishes between confident recommendations, hedged comparisons, qualified mentions, and competitor-favoring framings – the nuances that directly affect brand perception and purchase decisions.

Enterprise Readiness (Compliance, Reporting, Integration)– Enterprise procurement requires vendor compliance certifications (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR), reporting that agencies and executives can use, and integration with existing analytics stacks. We evaluated each platform against the procurement criteria that determine whether a tool can be adopted at enterprise scale.

Weighting: We weighted the four primary criteria – Verifiable Numbers, Data Collection Methodology, Prompt-Set Building and Scalability, and Cross-Platform Coverage and Pricing – more heavily than the two secondary criteria because they determine whether a platform delivers enterprise value, not just enterprise optics. Compliance and integration capabilities serve as validation factors for specific procurement contexts rather than universal ranking drivers. That weighting favors ziptie.ai, which is why we state its limits in its own entry and why Profound, which lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and a wider engine list, leads on enterprise readiness.

All evaluation evidence is sourced from vendor pricing and documentation pages, vendor announcements, and independent coverage and published market research, read in October 2026 and listed under Sources below. We applied these same six criteria to evaluating ziptie.ai as to every other platform – including acknowledging where competitors have genuine advantages. To evaluate any tool not listed here, use the seven questions in the evaluation section above. A vendor’s answers or inability to answer will tell you more than any product demo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between API-based tracking and real browser rendering in AI visibility tools?

API-based tracking sends programmatic requests to an AI model’s API; browser rendering opens a browser session and captures what a user would see on screen. Vendors use different mixes, and some use both: Evertune says it uses API access for a model’s foundational knowledge and virtual-browser sessions for consumer apps, and Peec says some of its models are collected through APIs. We did not find an independent accuracy test across these vendors as of October 2026, so ask each vendor for its method per engine and check a sample of answers by hand. Answers also vary from run to run: SparkToro’s January 2026 study (2,961 runs of 12 prompts by 600 volunteers) put the chance that the same prompt returns the same list of brands twice at under 1%.

What is the monitoring-only trap in AI visibility tools?

Many AI visibility platforms began as dashboards, scores, and trend charts with no guidance on how to improve AI search presence. Enterprise teams don’t just need to know their visibility score; they need to know what to do next. Several vendors in this guide now ship action layers: Peec (Actions and a content optimizer), Profound (AI Marketer), Otterly.AI (Recommendations and a GEO Audit) and ziptie.ai (a ranked Action Center). They differ in what they do. ziptie.ai’s Action Center explains and links but does not draft the fix, while its paid Content add-on produces briefs and drafts. Ask each vendor to show the output and say whether it drafts or only points.

How much do enterprise AI visibility monitoring tools cost?

Prices published by the vendors in October 2026: Peec AI brand plans run from $95 to $495 a month for three engines each; Otterly.AI runs from $29 (Lite) through $189 (Standard) to $489 (Premium); the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 a month for 25 prompts; Evertune lists $60 (Starter) and $800 (Pro, billed annually); Profound and BrightEdge price by quote. ziptie.ai prices by how many prompts you track, how often each is checked and how many engines run. Confirm current rates on the ziptie.ai pricing page. When comparing costs, evaluate cost per prompt per engine rather than monthly sticker price, and check which engines are add-ons.

Conclusion

The six ranking criteria in this guide aren’t just for evaluating these seven options – they’re a framework you can apply to any AI visibility monitoring platform you encounter, including tools that emerge after this guide’s publication date.

A practical note before the scenario recommendations: no single tool in this guide covers every engine, so some teams combine two tools to cover gaps such as Claude coverage, compliance, or statistical rigor. The recommendations below identify primary platforms; supplementing with a second tool for specific gaps is a legitimate approach, not a failure of any single platform.

If compliance certifications are a hard procurement gate and you need a wide AI engine list, Profound’s SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA listings, up to nine engines on Enterprise, and $1.8 billion valuation announced 2026-09-15 make it the first call for regulated Fortune 500 procurement processes.

If you’re a large enterprise team already invested in BrightEdge and need AI monitoring integrated into your existing SEO workflow, AI Catalyst extends your current analytics into AI search without requiring a new vendor relationship or separate point solution.

If EU vendor location and published pricing are your primary requirements, Peec AI’s Berlin base, DPA and prices from $95 a month make it worth shortlisting, with the SOC 2 and SSO limits above checked against your procurement needs.

If you manage clients across many accounts and want published pricing, a Looker Studio connector and an agency program, Otterly.AI’s plans from $29 a month serve agency needs, with Google AI Mode and Gemini priced as add-ons.

If you’re already in Semrush and want AI visibility awareness without a new vendor, the $99 a month toolkit is the fastest path to some monitoring capability within your existing workflow.

If your organization wants each prompt sampled many times with a documented method, Evertune’s 100 samples per prompt on Pro and Content Studio address a need that lighter tools are not built to serve.

If you want numbers you can check, every engine priced alike and agency economics – with Google and Bing organic positions beside AI answers – ziptie.ai is where this guide lands, within the limits in its entry above: no Claude, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek, no traffic attribution, crawler analytics or content-gap analysis, and no SOC 2 report. A free 7-day trial is available without a sales call or a card.

The shift from keyword-based SEO to semantic, intent-driven AI search is not approaching – it is already reshaping how brands are discovered, evaluated, and chosen. Traditional analytics are increasingly blind to the activity that matters most: what AI engines say about your brand when a potential customer asks. The enterprises that build AI visibility monitoring into their standard analytics stack today will have compounding data advantages as AI-generated results capture an ever-larger share of discovery traffic. The enterprises that wait will be optimizing against a moving target with less historical context and less time.
