ziptie.ai started as a search-indexing tracker. We wanted to understand the technical machinery behind how search engines decide what to show - deeper than anyone else was looking.

The deeper we went, the more often we ran into the same answer: machine learning. ML was already shaping ranking, retrieval, and relevance everywhere we looked, and it was clearly going to keep growing.

So when Google announced its Search Generative Experience back in 2023 - what later became AI Overviews and AI Mode - we weren't surprised. We were ready, and we shipped one of the first tools that let brands see exactly how AI search engines describe them. We've kept pace with the landscape ever since.

Today ziptie.ai is an accuracy-first, flexible AI search monitoring platform built for teams that need to act on what AI is saying about their brand. We track ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI Overview, and Google Gemini.

Focused only on AI search. It is the whole of what ziptie.ai does, and every release goes into one question: what the engines say about your brand, why they say it, and what to change.

But AI search is more than mentions and citations. It's a new optimization discipline, and our customers shouldn't have to become AI experts to win at it. That's why we keep building - so the platform does the thinking and you make confident calls.

Your projects, prompts, and the AI answers we collect for you sit on dedicated hardware in the United States, with encrypted backups in Amazon S3, also in the United States. We do not use your content, prompts, or monitored queries to train AI models, and we do not sell personal data.

Every subprocessor behind the product is named in our Privacy Policy, along with what it handles and where it processes data. Our SOC 2 Type II program is in progress; we are not certified yet.
